More Practice..

 

Customized Chucks

  I’ve always been a fan of comfy shoes, especially sneakers. I came across a multiply blog that sells pretty cheap shoes and stuff and I got really interested in buying one of their customized sneakers. I browsed through their designs but I didn’t really like them, they’re pretty simple for me and then I remembered there’s this place : " A Store with No Name", located at Robinson’s I think, that customizes your chucks for Php1500 up, depending on the design, (Chucks not included). They’re really good but I would have to shell out at least 5K to get a decent pair, with a design that I really like. But right now, I really don’t have funds and if ever I have, I’d rather spend it on my  son’s stuff/needs.

    So to cut this short, I became curious (and kuripot) so I bought some art supplies instead and tried practicing on my old pair of chucks which I have outgrown.

    This is the result of my "experiment" so far :

All I need are some acrylic paint and some waterproof markers. 

I have to clean my old chucks too!

An Afternoon at the park ..

I wish Therion would grow up fast and start climbing that slide; so i can take a photo of him up there too!

Happy New Year!

Its been awhile. I thought I would be able to blog more now that I have internet access at home, my problem is I don't have much time to do it. My day is mostly spent with my son who is getting a little more clingy nowadays. He wants more attention now that he's starting to learn how to talk. If ever I get to sit down in front of the PC, I could only check my emails,  send Alan the occasional IM, and browse through ebay. I couldn't even get my much needed daily dose of Hollywood Gossip.. ehehe

Today is the last day of 2007. Its not a very good year for me. Alan left for London to work last March; its been 9 months and I'm missing him more each day.  I still can't get used to not seeing him and hugging him everyday. He also missed a lot of Therion's important milestones; like the first time he walked, his first word which is "moon", he didn't see him talk to the kitties by the window every morning.. things that would have made him really proud. Therion and I was'nt able to spend our birthdays with him.

Also, our  Daddy Lolo passed away last September. We all miss him; his love, wisdom and endless energy for shopping… He used to wake me up at 7 a.m., all dressed up and ready to go to SM. Wherever he is right now, I'm sure he's happier.

There are also some highlights of my year. Therion and I were able to spend time with his Dirty Pop Grandpa Sam and his huggable and Crazy Godfather Tembong. 

I'm looking forward to a better year this 2008.  Alan would be home for a short vacation this March.. In a matter of weeks, Therion and I could hug him already! And since Therion is getting bigger now, I hope I can get some alone time just to be creative. I miss it.  I miss sketching, reading , learning new things, even listening to music. Simple things that I can't even squeeze into my busy mommie schedule. Just today when I ran to the store to buy a table cloth, i saw the cutest portable sewing machine. And its pretty cheap too! Finally! Maybe by next year I can do some crafts on my free time.. Just the thought of it made me smile.  Maybe i could even sew my own wedding gown!!! not! ehehe..

There are a lot of things a want to blog about but its already 5:30 pm here and I have to start preparing food for dinner and for our Media Noche tonight. We're going to have Pancit Palabok, with my Mom's uber creamy Puto-puts, Crispy Pata and Barbeque paired with my yummy java rice. The table is already overflowing with fruits!Therion wants to play with the round ones, he thought they're balls.. ehehe.. Ate Mayel and Kuya Mike will bring ice cream and Drexler with them. hehe.. Riza and Rizzle is here too, so its gonna be a fun New Year's Eve but it really won't be as fun and complete without my Alantuts.
